Stuart, FL - On Tuesday, May 21, Governor Rick Scott signed the Election Reform legislation (H.B. 7013) into law. The new law gives local Supervisors of Elections more flexibility in determining the dates, hours, and locations for Early Voting. In addition, the new law limits the number of words on constitutional amendment summaries that may appear on the ballot and makes it easier for voters moving from county to county to vote.
FSASE President Vicki Davis, said, “Supervisors of Elections appreciate the time, attention and effort the governor and legislators spent on election reform during the 2013 session. We believe this new law will improve confidence and enhance the voting experience for Florida voters.”
